Redmi Note 14 series confirmed to launch on December 9

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has recently announced the launch date of its upcoming device — Redmi Note 14. The company took to its Instagram broadcasting channel, “For the Noteworthy” and declared that the Redmi Note 14 series is releasing on December 9. With the official teaser, the company has also indicated that the upcoming series will arrive with “advanced AI features and game-changing camera innovations.”
To recap, the series has already been launched in China in September. It is highly probable that the company will bring the same variants to India as well. But the exact details will only be known later. We will have to wait to see if there are any changes in the specifications of the Indian or global version of the Note 14 series compared to the Chinese version of the phones, but the design of the phones are expected to be similar.
The Redmi Note 14 series is rumoured to feature 6.67-inch OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate across all models. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ are said to come with Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipsets, respectively, while the base model reportedly uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor.
Both the Pro and Pro+ variants are expected to sport triple rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. However, their third cameras differ: the Pro+ may offer a 50-megapixel portrait telephoto lens, whereas the Pro is rumoured to feature a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Battery specifications also vary between the two higher-end models. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is believed to house a massive 6,200mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, while the Pro model could include a smaller 5,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging. These features aim to cater to users seeking a balance between power efficiency, photography, and performance.
The series appears to focus on delivering competitive specifications, particularly in display quality, camera versatility, and battery capabilities, to strengthen its position in the mid-range smartphone market.
Since, no specification is confirmed yet, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt. All specs will be revealed on the launch date. However, so far, we know that the phone will be deeply integrated with AI and will sport a marvellous camera lens.
Coming to the pricing of the device, the Chinese standard variant was priced at CNY 1,199 (around Rs 14,000). Hence, Indians should get the phone at Rs 20,000. Previously, its predecessor, the Redmi Note 13 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 18,000. But, only the future will decide the price of the upcoming series.
