Jennifer Simpson is an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Drama and Speech Communications at the University of Waterloo. She is an interdisciplinary scholar who does research on the public good and democratic practices; cross-cultural relationships and conflict; critical pedagogy; performance and culture; and agency, structures, power, and ethics. She is the author ofI Have Been Waiting: Race and U.S. Higher Education (University of Toronto Press, 2003) and current projects include a book on undergraduate education and its responsibilities in a democratic society and to justice (under contract with University of Toronto Press).
