Anthony Stewart is a Professor in the English Department at Bucknell University. His principal teaching and research interest is 20th- and 21st-Century African American literature and culture. His publications include: George Orwell, Doubleness, and the Value of Decency(Routledge, 2003), and You Must Be a Basketball Player: Rethinking Integration in the University (Fernwood, 2009), as well as articles on the African American male athlete, and on the work of Percival Everett, Ralph Ellison, and August Wilson. Forthcoming works include Approximate Gestures: The Meaning of the Between in the Fiction of Percival Everett (under contract with Louisiana State University Press) and Where Are You Really  From?: Notes on Life as a Visitor in Canada(forthcoming, Fernwood Publishing, Fall 2014).
